Frequently Asked Questions

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA in upper-division coursework is required. International students must also meet English proficiency requirements. No prior AI or computer science experience is needed.

The program is 100% online with asynchronous course delivery for maximum flexibility, weekly online office hours with instructors, interactive discussions and collaborations, and 24/7 access to all course materials.

Yes, we strongly recommend the following sequence:

Part-time: EDG 6808 → EDG 6385 → EDG 6217 → EDG 6347 (one per semester over 4 semesters)

Full-time: Semester 1: EDG 6808 + EDG 6385 | Semester 2: EDG 6217 + EDG 6347

You can take one course (part-time, 4 semesters) or two courses (full-time, 2 semesters) per semester. While taking more than two is technically possible, we don't recommend it to ensure you can fully engage with the material.

Each course includes pre-recorded lecture videos available 24/7, structured weekly modules, regular online office hours with the instructor, interactive learning activities, and practical assignments and projects. No textbooks are required — all materials are provided through the LMS.

Classes are kept small (35–40 students per course) to foster meaningful interaction. You'll engage through active discussion boards, collaborative projects, and regular contact with faculty and peers — all designed to build a real professional learning community online.

This certificate prepares you for emerging educational roles including AI Integration Specialist, Educational Technology Coordinator, AI-Enhanced Curriculum Developer, Professional Development Leader, and Educational Technology Innovation Leader.

Students retain access to course materials for 90 days after each course ends. Content is regularly updated to reflect the latest AI developments, and certain materials can be downloaded for future reference.
